This figure has been with me for awhile now and I just felt that she now needed a new space to reside in. Redemption is really about feeling forced to atone for more than your share of a relationship breakdown. She is truly pissed and also deeply sad that it has come to this. The direct gaze suggests that she is resolute in her appeal (to take no more than 50% of the responsibility), the offset shoulders betray her discomfort, because this is never easy. The white rat in the beautiful room is a metaphor for emotions that are not acceptable, the feeling of not being wanted yet the yearning to be seen and loved…
