There have been times in my life where I have felt lost and alone, in essence abandoned. These are the times when I need to remember to call out and ask for help. When I look at this small boy I feel an urge to reach out, to wrap my arms around him and tell him its going to be ok. I painted this piece to connect with that urge to care deeply and to remember to direct that same compassion to myself...
